Watt&Sea has been developing for many months now an outstanding wind turbine that has proved its worth on MACIF with François Gabart at the end of 2017, during his round the world record.
This wind turbine has been designed and built to withstand extreme operating conditions and works with a wind force of up to 50 knots !
We have presented it recently at the famous Dame Design Award and are sharing our recent nomination online !

Golden Globe Race 2018

Golden Globe Race 2018

The race will start fifty years after the Golden Globe Race, ancestor of the Vendée Globe. Participants are limited to sailing on boats with equipment similar to that available at the time of the Golden Globe Challenge in 1968. This means sailing without modern technology and without satellite navigation aids and competitors are only allowed to modify their boats to improve their safety. For example, by adding reinforcements and watertight partitions. They can however remove some accessories too cumbersome, as the central table of the cabin The race will start on 1st July 2018 in Les Sables-d'Olonne and will drive around the world passing through the three capes, Cape of Good Hope, Cape Leeuwin and Cape Horn. There will be several "gateways" along the route, where skippers can be interviewed (without stopping) and films and letters can be shown. We have the honour to see 6 boats on the start line equipped with a Watt&Sea hydrogen generator.
